The Line System | How To Mount
Start with removing your old lines from the bar.
You do NOT have to remove your depower and trimline from the bar to mount new lines!
STEP 2
Start at the bar and unroll package:
TLS BASE REAR 22
STEP 3
We’re going to connect the SLEEVED SIDE to the leaderline of the bar.
STEP 3.1
Slide the loop over the leaderline.
STEP 3.2
Fold the line and insert it into the Loop of the leaderline. Pull the entire line trough until you reach the end.
(Another option is to insert the Blue line end into the loop of the leaderline and pull the line trough.)
STEP 3.3
We are now finished with the rear lines.
Open package – LOWER *
This lower section will fit your bar specifically!
For some bars following the exact steps do not apply and you can use one of our video’s.
4 Unroll the lines
Start at the frontline splitter and unroll the lines.
4.1 connecting the frontline
Insert the end of the new line through the splitter and attach with loop-to-loop connection:
– safety bungee line (the red here)
– short loop (black here). Reuse your original one!
Slide part over the line.
Insert other end trough the loop and pull to lock
4.2 connecting the safetyline
Insert safety line trough frontline splitter! (For some bars a plastic ball is sitting on the line here please insert also into this if your bar has this.)
Slide safetyline loop over the frontline.
For bars with PU tubes
Where the safetyline is running inside the tube.
insert the frontline trough the PU tube first before connecting the safety line.
4.3 connecting the safetyline
Insert other end of safetyline trough the frontline loop.
4.4 connecting the safetyline
Pull tight to lock the safetyline into place.
4.5 Feed safetyline into bar.
Feed the safetyline trough the depower/trimblock if needed on your bar.
Following trough the bar.
4.6 Feed safetyline into Quick release
Feed the safetyline trough the quickrelease.
4.7 Connect safety ring
Connect the safety ring back onto the frontline.
Slide ring over line.
Slide the loop over the ring and lock.
If your safety ring is too big and this step does not work. Reverse Steps 4.7 to 4.1.
Start with connecting the safety ring to the safetyline. Connect the frontline to the safetyline. Then feed the line trough the QR, Bar frontline splitter.
Open package – BASE U Front
We will now connect the upper front line to the lower section.
5 Connect upper to lower front
Here we go again with a loop to loop connection! You must be really good at it now!
5.1 Connect upper to lower front
Slide upper over lower.
5.2 Connect upper to lower front
Feed the line trough the hole and pull the entire line trough.
5.3 Connect upper to lower front
Pull up until you get a loop to loop connection.
Extensions
THIS STEP IS OPTIONAL!
Repeat steps
5.1 to 5.3 for all lines.
Pigtails
Re-use your pigtails or connect new The Line Smith pigtails.
you are now done!
